Opening of ninth office in Downham Market
Our new office at 21 London Road is our ninth across Norfolk and Cambridgeshire, a move which reinforces Ward Gethin Archer as one of the region's largest law firms.
The opening of our new Downham Market branch has generated new jobs in the town as well as relocating other existing members of staff, who live locally, from other offices within the company.
It means that we are now closer to hand for clients old and new in and around Downham Market, offering improved access to expert legal help and advice on their doorstep.

Swaffham Expansion
Further improving and committing ourselves to providing client service excellence for the Swaffham community, July 2017 saw an expansion of the team in Swaffham with additions of a qualified solicitor of 18 years, new property staff and team leader as well as new secretarial roles to support.

Promotion to director of six staff
The company promoted 6 members of staff from various backgrounds, including solicitors, legal executives and an accountant, to directors, growing the number of directors to 16. All sharing the company’s common goal of delivering an excellent legal service in a client-focused, service-driven way

Acquisition of G. Cartwright & Co solicitors
Our most recent acquisition was of G Cartwright & Co solicitors in Chatteris in June 2016, investing in a number of new staff across all areas of the business, all for the benefit of client service.

Ward Gethin and Archer and Archer Solicitors merged in May 2012 to form Ward Gethin Archer Ltd, a move which created one of the largest law firms in the region.

Ward Gethin solicitors were founded more recently on 1st May 1976 in King’s Lynn’s Tuesday Market Place, where the company’s head office is still located today.
