He is involved with several charities, currently Chairing one of them, in and around Ely, where he has been a city councillor and former Mayor of the city as well as being High Sheriff of Cambridgeshire in 1998.

Andrea joined the firm in 2000 and is a Chartered Legal Executive in the Personal Injury team, qualifying in 1998. She undertakes all types of Personal Injury work, whether this be road traffic accidents, tripping accidents or clinical negligence claims but focuses mainly on representing employees who have had accidents at work or occupational disease claims. Andrea handles Personal Injury cases that come into the firm's King's Lynn, Swaffham and Watton offices in addition to a Norwich client base.
In her spare time, Andrea enjoys socialising with friends and walking along the North Norfolk Coast where she can be found watching the wildlife.

Karen is a Chartered Legal Executive who heads up the Family Team based at the Ely office, where for over 30 years she has given help and support to all her clients who find themselves in situations of conflict and high emotion.
A member of the Law Society Family Panel and Resolution, Karen has undertaken mediation training and qualified as a Collaborative Lawyer in 2005 (for more information go to www.ccflg.co.uk).
Karen deals with and has experience of all aspects of Family Law including divorce, dissolution of civil partnerships, pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements and all related financial issues, child welfare including residence orders and assisting grand parents and other family members to obtain Special Guardianship orders together with Step-parent Parental Responsibility Agreements.
Karen is a director of and sits on the management committee of the Ely and Cambridge Contact Centre.

Claire has been with the firm since 1993. She is an Executive within the Wills and Probate Department based at the Watton Office, and she primarily deals with elderly clients by managing their day to day affairs.

Claire also helps on Court of Protection applications, which are needed when someone loses their mental capacity and there is no Power of Attorney in place, as well as the administration of estates.

Rachel is a Chartered Legal Executive in the Family Law team. Rachel is a member of the Family Law Accreditation Scheme and is certified as a specialist Family Law advisor by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. She is also a member of Resolution, which is an organisation of Family lawyers committed to resolving family disputes in a constructive and conciliatory way.
Rachel is the Treasurer and a founder member of East Anglian Rotary E-Club.

Sarah is a trainee solicitor based in our Ely office. Sarah graduated from the University of Warwick in 2011 and went on to study the Legal Practice Course at BPP Cambridge. Sarah joined the firm in August 2012 and having completed her first seat with our Family team, is now undertaking her second seat with our Conveyancing team.
Sarah is on the committee for the West Norfolk and King's Lynn Junior Lawyers Division and is involved in the organisation of the various social and networking events the group holds.
As a member of the Lawyers' Christian Fellowship Sarah has participated in the Summer Justice Programme. This involved volunteering with both legal aid and legal education projects in Rwanda, Uganda and Kenya.

Simon qualified as a solicitor in 1975. He joined the Swaffham office in 1980 and was a resident partner running that office from 1984 to 2011. He is now a Consultant at the same office. For the most part he has specialised in property and commercial matters, with particular reference to agriculture.
Simon is a non-executive director of a number of companies. He is also a school governor, a church warden and chairman of his Parish Council.
Away from the office, he has a smallholding, sails and plays tennis. He was for 20 years a TA officer in the Suffolk & Norfolk Yeomanry.

Barbara has had a varied legal career with previous spells in practice in both Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire. She has also lectured extensively in law with a particular emphasis on land law. Barbara is part of our Dispute Resolution Department specialising in property disputes and also disputes arising from wills and estates. Richard is the Finance Director and Partner with responsibility for the firm's finances. He is the firm's Compliance Officer of Financial Administration (COFA) and is solicitor and Partner in our Family, Civil Litigation and Employment departments based in King's Lynn.
Richard became a solicitor in 1986, and has been a Partner since May 1991. Richard brings over 20 years of litigation experience and deals with particularly contentious financial issues in divorces for SME owners and their spouses, commercial disputes of all sorts, contentious probate matters and professional negligence disputes for the firm.
Richard is a trained civil litigation mediator, a Member of the Professional Negligence Lawyers Association and a Resolution Trained Collaborative Family Lawyer able to deal with collaborative work, and is also a member of the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists.
Richard is also the Chair of YMCA Norfolk and a trustee of a number of local charities, a church elder and a member of the Lawyers Christian Fellowship.

John is a Partner working in our Ely office and is a specialist in commercial, agricultural and residential property transactions. John qualified as a solicitor in 1982 and joined the firm in 1985.
His work encompasses sales and purchases of agricultural land, including farm sales and purchases, the sale and purchase of development sites; legal development of commercial industrial estates and the preparation of options, pre-emption and joint venture agreements. John also deals with partnership formation and franchise agreements as well as business start-ups.

He was a board member of Kings Forest Housing Association, and is currently Chairman of the Eric Drummond Mercer Trust, a charitable trust dealing with people with learning disabilities. John is a former Round Tabler and now a member of the Ely 41 Club (the ex-Round Tablers organisation). He is a member of Ely XT Limited, a charitable organisation responsible for organising the annual firework display in Cherry Hill Park, Ely. John was also the former Registrar to the Dean and Chapter of Ely Cathedral and was a former Governor of Soham Village College from 1996-2007, being Chair of the Governing Body from 1998-2007.
He is a keen cyclist and walker, having taken part in the National Three Peaks Challenge and having successfully trekked to Everest Base Camp.

Dan is a solicitor and Partner in the Private Client Department and is based at Ely.
Daniel qualified as a solicitor in 2001, but has over 17 years' experience in the Private Client field. He undertakes all aspects of Private Client work, including wills, Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection, estate administration and trust work but has a particular interest in wealth management, trusts and the protection of vulnerable adults.
Daniel is also a Notary Public.
Outside of the office, he is the Group Scout Leader for Gamlingay and Gransden Scout Group, an officer of the Gransden District Branch of the Royal British Legion, and an honorary member of the Rotary Club of Biggleswade. He has a young family that absorbs much of his recreation time but he enjoys a round of golf when he gets the opportunity.

He has experience in all aspects of commercial property including landlord and tenant, site acquisition and disposal, and land development. Simon's client base includes a wide range of owner-managed businesses, property developers, entrepreneurs within the leisure industry, and established larger organisations. He also provides general commercial advice, and assistance with licensing.
