Chris Dewey

Chris Dewey

Chris is a solicitor, the firm's Managing Partner and a key member of both the Personal Injury and Employment Law teams. He is a Senior Litigator with the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers, a member of the Law Society's Personal Injury Panel, and specialises in helping Union members with accidents at work and occupational disease claims. He also has a wealth of experience advising on all aspects of Employment Law including claims for unfair dismissal, disability claims and TUPE transfers.

Cameron Green

Cameron Green

Cameron is a solicitor and Partner of the firm, having joined from Kenneth Bush Solicitors, and is based in our King's Lynn office. Cameron qualified as a solicitor in 2007 and specialises in all areas of commercial property including landlord and tenant matters, sale and purchase of land and the sale and purchase of businesses. As well as being able to advise on general commercial matters, Cameron also deals with sales and purchases of residential property.

Outside of work Cameron is a Governor of Sandringham and West Newton Primary School and plays cricket for Sandringham Cricket Club, having previously represented both Cambridgeshire and Norfolk at county level. Cameron is also a keen follower of Norwich City Football Club.

Desmond Humberston

Desmond Humberston

Desmond is a Partner in the Private Client Department, some 25 years a solicitor, with the vast majority of that time spent practicing in Dereham as a Partner with Hood Vores and Allwood specialising in Wills and Tax Planning, Probate, Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection work and Trusts.

He is a member of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners and was, for a number of years, dual qualified as a financial advisor. He has held many appointments over the years as Charitable Trustee, Clerk to the Income Tax Commissioners, Chair of School Governors and Treasurer of the local PCC.

He has always been, and remains, a keen sportsman, running and playing racket sports, squash and badminton regularly and as much golf as proves possible. He also enjoys watching sport, walking, film, theatre and reading and vegetable gardening.

Michael Judkins

Michael Judkins

Michael is a Partner in our Ely office specialising in Employment, Criminal and General Litigation matters. Michael was a salaried partner at Wilson Browne in Kettering from 1985, before joining the firm as a Partner in 1992.

Michael deals with all aspects of Employment Law and practice for both employers and employees, in addition to commercial and other Civil Litigation. He also undertakes Criminal work, and regular advocacy in this and other areas.

Michael was founder President and is an active member of Ely Hereward Rotary Club. He is also a member of Ely 41 Club (for ex-Round Tablers) and is involved with other local organisations. His outside interests include sport (particularly football and Leicester City Football Club), doing anything energetic, and developing a song portfolio which has led from learning to play guitar.

Rosemarie Molony

Rosemarie Molony

Rosemarie is a Chartered Legal Executive and Partner in the Property Department based in the Dereham office. She qualified in 1992, and apart from a short spell in the West Midlands has worked locally for many years.

Rosemarie deals with all types of residential property work and is a panel member of a National Solicitors Network dealing with Equity Release. She believes that in any property transaction communication is key in ensuring the clients' experience of buying and selling their home is as stress free as possible.

In her spare time, Rosemarie enjoys socialising with friends, walking (very slowly now) the Norfolk lanes with her faithful old Labrador, and reading. She is also a member of the Dereham Baptist Church.

Cheryl Page

Cheryl is a solicitor, Partner and Head of the Private Client Department. She advises on wealth management, trusts, probate, wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and elderly client and Court of Protection work and associated tax issues.

She is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE) and Association of Contentious Trusts and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS).

Cheryl has successfully completed the STEP Advanced Certificate in Trust Disputes.

She is also a Notary Public.

In her spare time, Cheryl enjoys coarse fishing, gardening and sewing.

Richard Pennington

Richard Pennington

Richard is the Finance Director and Partner with responsibility for the firm's finances. He is the firm's Compliance Officer of Financial Administration (COFA) and is solicitor and Partner in our Family, Civil Litigation and Employment departments based in King's Lynn.

Richard became a solicitor in 1986, and has been a Partner since May 1991. Richard brings over 20 years of litigation experience and deals with particularly contentious financial issues in divorces for SME owners and their spouses, commercial disputes of all sorts, contentious probate matters and professional negligence disputes for the firm.

Richard is a trained civil litigation mediator, a Member of the Professional Negligence Lawyers Association and a Resolution Trained Collaborative Family Lawyer able to deal with collaborative work, and is also a member of the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists.

Richard is also the Chair of YMCA Norfolk and a trustee of a number of local charities, a church elder and a member of the Lawyers Christian Fellowship.

Sarah Scott

Sarah Scott

Sarah is a solicitor and Partner in the Personal Injury and Employment team.

She has been with the firm since 1994, initially as a trainee, qualifying as a solicitor in 1996.

Sarah specialises in industrial injury cases including asbestos exposure, occupational asthma and accidents at work generally. She also deals with claims involving accidents abroad and occupier's liability accidents. She is a member of the Law Society's Personal Accreditation Scheme. She also advises on employment law.

Sarah is also a Notary Public.

Sarah is a member of KLARS (King's Lynn Area Resettlement Support), which is a registered charity supporting newcomers to the area who are having difficulties arising from lack of language or unfamiliarity with the culture; the Old School Community Heritage Project in Terrington St Clement and TAMBA (the Twins and Multiple Births Association). When time allows, Sarah also enjoys brushing up on her very rusty grade 8 in piano and bassoon (albeit not at the same time).

John Thorogood

John Thorogood

John is a Partner working in our Ely office and is a specialist in commercial, agricultural and residential property transactions. John qualified as a solicitor in 1982 and joined the firm in 1985.

His work encompasses sales and purchases of agricultural land, including farm sales and purchases, the sale and purchase of development sites; legal development of commercial industrial estates and the preparation of options, pre-emption and joint venture agreements. John also deals with partnership formation and franchise agreements as well as business start-ups.

John is a member of the Solicitors Benevolent Association and the Law Society Property section. He was a board member of Kings Forest Housing Association, and is currently Chairman of the Eric Drummond Mercer Trust, a charitable trust dealing with people with learning disabilities. John is a former Round Tabler and now a member of the Ely 41 Club (the ex-Round Tablers organisation). He is a member of Ely XT Limited, a charitable organisation responsible for organising the annual firework display in Cherry Hill Park, Ely. John was also the former Registrar to the Dean and Chapter of Ely Cathedral and was a former Governor of Soham Village College from 1996-2007, being Chair of the Governing Body from 1998-2007.

He is a keen cyclist and walker, having taken part in the National Three Peaks Challenge and having successfully trekked to Everest Base Camp.

Daniel Whiddett

Daniel Whiddett

Dan is a solicitor and Partner in the Private Client Department and is based at Ely.

Daniel qualified as a solicitor in 2001, but has over 17 years' experience in the Private Client field. He undertakes all aspects of Private Client work, including wills, Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection, estate administration and trust work but has a particular interest in wealth management, trusts and the protection of vulnerable adults.

Daniel is also a Notary Public.

Outside of the office, he is the Group Scout Leader for Gamlingay and Gransden Scout Group, an officer of the Gransden District Branch of the Royal British Legion, and an honorary member of the Rotary Club of Biggleswade. He has a young family that absorbs much of his recreation time but he enjoys a round of golf when he gets the opportunity.

Simon Wilson

Simon Wilson

Simon is a Partner in the firm. He joined the firm in 2006 to lead the expansion of the Commercial Property team in King's Lynn. He has experience in all aspects of commercial property including landlord and tenant, site acquisition and disposal, and land development. Simon's client base includes a wide range of owner-managed businesses, property developers, entrepreneurs within the leisure industry, and established larger organisations. He also provides general commercial advice, and assistance with licensing.
